177 caliber spring, gas, or air BB guns not to be firearms, the usual definition is only limited to smooth-bore BB guns, so one should be careful handling BB guns openly as many airguns look very similar to actual weapons and can be mistaken as such by the police.By using this site, you agree to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. Using your right thumb, release the catch by pushing down on the slide latch. Refer to animation below. Cocking the Pistol Point the barrel of your air pistol upward and grab the rear of the slide with your left hand. The slide should be back to its original position. The air pistol is now cocked and ready to load or fire. To do this, push the safety in from the left side of the air pistol, thus locking the trigger. Refer to animation below LOADING NOTE: Complete the previous steps before attempting to load ammunition. The barrel section WILL NOT tip up until the air pistol has been cocked. Do not try to pry it open, as this will cause permanent damage. NEVER fire your air pistol with the barrel section in the open position. To load your air pistol you must press the loading button at the front of the air pistol. This button is located directly underneath the barrel and when pushed will tip up the entire barrel section to expose the two loading ports. Refer to animation below To Load BB's Point your air pistol downwards and load up to 18 BB's into the SQUARE loading port (NOTE: To quickly and easily load BB's into the air pistol one at a time, a speed loader is recommended). The BB's are held in the magazine and released one at a time and positioned automatically in the barrel during the cocking sequence; remember to tilt the barrel up when cocking the air pistol to allow the BB's to feed properly. FIRING Prepare to Fire After loading, snap the barrel section down into place. Your air pistol is now cocked, loaded, and ready to fire. Aiming and Firing Safely You and others with you should always wear shooting glasses to protect your eyes when firing any gun. Always aim your air pistol in a SAFE DIRECTION. Do not shoot at hard surfaces or at the surface of water. The pellet may bounce off or ricochet and hit someone or something you had not intended to hit. Always choose your target carefully. It is best to shoot at paper bullseye targets which are attached to a safe backstop. A heavy blanket should be hung behind the Target Trap to prevent ricochet should you miss the backstop. Your backstop should be checked for wear before and after each use. Replace your backstop if the surface is worn or damaged or if a ricochet occurs. When you are sure that the area around you is safe, pull the trigger to fire. MAINTENANCE Caring for the Pistol Your air pistol should be oiled after every 200 to 300 shots for maximum eficiency. This lubricates the important firing mechanism and helps prevent damage to the vital parts. To oil your air pistol, keep your fingers away from the trigger and hold the air pistol in an upright and uncocked position as shown in the diagram. Place a few drops of SLIK 50-1 lube in the barrel. Leave the air pistol in this position at least one hour to allow the lube to reach all necessary parts. Should this occur, it will be necessary to return your air pistol for replacement of parts and service. Multi-pump pneumatic gun consists of a piston and a pressure cylinder in the chamber. You compress the air between the piston and cylinder when you cock the gun. The air has no where to go since the gun is sealed completely and is forced into the cylinder. The cylinder has a lock valve that let the air go in and keep it there until you fire. Each time you shoot one pellet, you move another one over for coming shot. When the clip is empty, reload it and add other 5 pellets. Hold the forearm firmly and open it all the way until it stops.
