Howden’s WRV range of screw compressors are well proven, offer high reliability and versatility, and are designed for a wide range of applications. Howden’s WRV range of screw compressors are well proven, offer high reliability and versatility, and are designed for a wide range of applications. WRV compressors use a double-walled casing for outstanding reliability and robustness, providing low noise, high pressure performance throughout their long operational life. Through our range of dedicated compressor companies, Howden brings together unparalleled experience and expertise in all aspects of gas compression equipment, with unique skills and unmatched reputation in areas where toxic, corrosive or unstable gases present added complications. In any sector, in every application where reliable, round the clock operation is paramount, Howden innovation and technology keeps the world’s industries running. Howden Compressors supply oil injected bare shaft compressor units to independent packagers worldwide who design and supply gas and refrigeration systems on a local basis. For high specification process critical applications Howden can offer this packaging service by use of our own specialist knowledge and capabilities. The standard material is carbon steel, but forgings or special alloys can be used for more arduous applications. Following machining and balancing to ISO standards, male and female rotors are paired for assembly to ensure the ideal combination for maximum efficiency. Cast iron is the normally casing material; alternative casing materials are spheroidal graphite iron or various grades of steel. The casing components are hydraulically tested to a minimum of 1.http://iluvlocalplaces.com/images/compose-plc-manual.pdf5 times maximum operating pressure to ensure integrity. Additionally, all oil injected compressors are tested with air under water following final assembly. The compressors are then mechanically run on air test rigs to confirm that volumetric efficiency, absorbed power, oil flows and vibration levels meet the stringent acceptance standards. However, actual operating conditions may vary, resulting in lower efficiencies. Control of capacity and volume ratio can maintain high efficiency levels. The Howden variable Vi concept, coupled to slide valve capacity control, offers alternative control methods. Where the pressure ratio across the compressor is consistently high or changes in pressure ratio are infrequent (e.g. the change from winter to summer conditions) then the MVi manually adjustable system will be entirely satisfactory. With lower pressure ratios, or where condensing conditions vary frequently, the Howden automatic control AVi system can be offered. All oil injected compressors are equipped with an additional gas port, located along the length of the compression chamber. It becomes the first point of visible distress. The mechanical seal seen as occurring in two general areas: primary face and secondary seal. Bearings locate the position of the rotors with great precision. The main bearing depends on a film of oil to keep the rotor and bearing surfaces separated. This film supports the entire weight of the rotor and its gas load. Bearings normally fail when this oil film becomes contaminated, breaks down, or if the bearing becomes overloaded. The oil film is created and maintained by the compressors lube oil system. The rotor journal is in contact with the bearing surface when at rest. With proper oil pressure that the rotor positions itself. The rotor rides on a lubricant wedge during design loads. The thrust bearings installed in the Howden compressor are paired single-row, angular-contact ball bearings. The steel caged antifriction bearings are fitted face to face at the discharge end of the compressor. The bearings are off loaded by the use of balance pistons. The compressor achieves sufficient off loading by utilizing a single balance piston on the input end of the male rotor. Lubrication failure doesn't normally imply a total lack of lubrication. A thorough investigation may reveal too low a differential oil pressure, improper viscosity due to dilution, or product condensing due to a low discharge temperature. The vibration and sound levels of a howden compressor are rather low. The conditions and causes listed in the previous failure analysis were kept simple. In reality, several factors often seem to occur, making the root cause of a failed component not always obvious. Only after a complete review of operating conditions and other compressor components can these be determined. Please contact us if you need assistance purchasing this product in another country. For the correct conditions refer to repair procedures. If contaminated by foreign oil or additives, such as the wrong or too much UV dye, the refrigerant cycle must be flushed before new parts are installed. In case Leak Stop, imitation refrigerants or severe contamination are present, flushing is no longer sufficient and the complete system must be replaced. When flushing the refrigerant cycle we recommend the use of dedicated flushing equipment. Conditions for flushing are: All parts need to be replaced! When applicable always add the oil in the condenser, receiver dryer or second evaporator cycle. To recognise which type of oil to use check the compressor identification label, either attached to the rear or side of the compressor. Mixing with other oils or using universal oil will reduce the lifetime of a compressor and can cause severe damage. When using other type of oils than specified, warranty is void. The purpose is to distribute compressor oil and start up lubrication in order to prevent damage directly after new installation. After removal of the old compressor check the suction port, discharge port and discharge hose. Depending on the situation found, refer to procedure 1, 2, 3 or 4. All the cables are new, I have tried resetting the TV but it fails to pick up the same channels on a rescan every time while the TV upstairs is working perfectly on the indoor aerial and if I bring it downstairs it also works perfectly and picks up all channels on the cable. Geoffrey B. Thanks for letting us know. So I assume you'll take the faulty TV back for replacement. I don't currently have any kind of reception problems, and generally the signal seems good strength with good SNR, no blockiness or breakup. I'd like to increase this to 8 outputs, ideally without having to remove the existing masthead amplifier as I don't have a suitable ladder. Is it worth trying a passive 8 way splitter or does this never work. If not, can I use an amplifier whilst keeping the masthead, and would it need signal attenuation on the input. Any advice of a suitable product would be greatly appreciated. Consequently, you'll probably need a 8-way distribution amplifier. This one might do: It provides 12 volts for the masthead amplifier. Error near line 35, column 102. An error has occurred while processing the expression: form.item2 Tony P. Thanks. What was item 2? What did you add to the cart and from which web page specifically? (He didn't reply.) Equipment made by: Thomson Model number on label or rear panel: 902020 This is not a Thomson model number. Hi i think ill need details of anyone who can refurb an hd box.Include your kit Order Number because, if the PSU is faulty, it may be covered by our warranty. I want to put a faceplate on here that has 2x F connector sockets and 1x Coax. To cut a long story short I'm after a single gang faceplate that's shielded, will fit into a 25mm backbox (I'd prefer not to go to 35mm), that has seperate feeds for coax and the shotgun cable. I can only see the combiner plate you have on here (Triax 304109) which I didn't want to do as I don't have a dish yet so wanted to just run the coax on its own for now without mixing the signal down the cables, plus the cables are there. Do you have any products suggested in your line? Thank you. Paul E. Hi, Paul. All of our wall plates have right-angle coax entry connectors apart from the 'F' plates that specifically state that they haven't. We don't stock any non-screened wall plates. 25mm is too shallow. If it isn't then you may run into problems with interference in the future. The one nearest the aerial (12m) works fine and we recieve all Freeview channels, but the others suffer by varying degrees. The TV furthest from the aerial picks up the channels sometimes but not always. (very intermittent). Came across your website on recommendation (and read your comments about not recommending devices but I need your advise). I beleive I need a masthead amplifier with 4 outputs with variable gain on each feed. I also want the gain to be the highest potential availbale and was looking at the Vision Masthead amp due to it's power and low noise. I also need a splitter as one room feeds a 5th TV. Could you advise me if my choice is correct and which model I need and anything else before I place the order. Your help would be much appreciated. Thanks Guy G. I can't give specific advice because I don't know your cable losses. Firstly, make sure that all your cable is the correct double-screened type required for Freeview. If you don't know what cable you have, you can't calculate the attenuation in it. See this page for calculations: We can't supply a masthead amplifier that has a separate gain control for each output. While this would be handy, nobody makes one for domestic use. So calculate the maximum gain that you'll require and fit attenuators to the nearest Freeview boxes that might otherwise receive too high a signal level.
