The screen behind the analog clock is small, tough to read at times, have to tilt it a certain way to get a good angle for reading it. Outside different story. You can see the screen better, I did anyways. Setting this beast is a bit of work. Not your simple Casio. This Ediface watch is different. All I can say is read the manual, it will come to you if you do this, if you assume you can set a simple watch, you will be pissed after 30 minutes you do not have it set correctly yet. The buttons, they take a good firm push of the finger. This is good for not inadvertently bumping the buttons and changing functions however, setting it my fingers cramped. Overall, nice style, heafty, good looking watch for on of the only Edifice watches under 40 usd. If you can find one, purchase it for yourself, they are sold out at a lot of stores online and cannot find it at the local stores for less than 50 usd if you do find it. I got mine for 36 dollars off Amazon, damaged box buy. The backlight doesn't stay on long enough to be able to actually read the time and holding the backlight button doesn't make it stay on any longer. In addition, the backlight doesn't help with reading the analog dials in the dark, it only illuminates the digital portion so you're stuck using the digital part which kind of defeats the purpose. I'm really surprised this watch has so many good reviews considering how glaring these flaws are for some pretty basic functions. I love the watches they made in the 80's, but these newer ones seem like they were designed in a lab and never actually tested for ease of use. Please try again later. M. I don't think the thermometer is very accurate, but I don't mind as I didn't buy the watch for this feature. Also, the timer is hard to see when the analog hands are pointing down--they tend to block the readout at certain times of day. But this is a common issue with digital-analog watches: usually the hands block part of the digital display at different points.
