I was happy bc I was able to wire it up through my rear speakers with a high level input converter which came with the wiring kit. I own a 2008 Honda Accord LX-P and I decided to keep my factory(OEM) head unit so the remote amp control is a big help. The only reason I gave this a 4 star instead of 5 is because it may have caused my car to go into immobilization mode because I ran my remote wire to my fuse box and hooked it up to the fuel pump fuse. That is mainly due to having kept the factory head unit so not really the amps fault but 4 star also because of the rumored false advertised power output. Could also use easier to adjust knobs for the amp controls. I would and already have recommended this amp for anyone looking for a decent first amp to power two 1200-Watt Subwoofers. So final assessment is a good amp that more than adequately makes my subs pound loud, hard and with great vibes. ( Not 4ohm bridged ). It sounds ok. You can turn the bass boost way up and really make the subs thump, but the sound quality really sucks then. They are what they are, cheap stuff. The remote bass boost controller doesn't work, which makes me mad because it would really come in handy for different music. I am sure the amp would over heat right away, as it gets pretty warm wired with a 2ohm load against it, and burn up. Over all this is just cheap stuff, if it lasts any length of time and doesn't crap out right away, like I have read on countless reviews, I will be amazed. I wanted to put a sound system in my Hot Rod just so it had something. The car is fairly loud due to the 496 blown big block in it, so it's not like your going to be able to hear premium sound anyway. Over all I think a person would be further ahead just to put the money you would pay for this stuff toward good stuff like JL Audio, Alpine, Rockford Fosgate, even Pioneer has some really good stuff. I know I am not going to waste any more money on this cheap stuff. Update. I mentioned that the remote bass level controller didn't work. I went to Boss' website and shot them an email telling them about it. I was surprised when I got a reply from a actual person in less than 24 hours. They are sending me out a new controller within a few days of my initial email. So, I have to give a compliment to Boss Audio customer support. But. If you plan on calling them.I was on hold for 25 min before I could talk to someone. The Bass level controller works. Kinda. It only works when the amp is set to LOW, not FULL, or HIGH.Just LOW. So That is about a third of worthless !!!!It hits pretty hard for what it is. HOWEVER. I did not receive the Bass Knob. This frustrates me a bit. This includes everything in the box. I'm sorely disappointed with this. Overall though, this amp works decent for now. I am not using this amplifier in a car. I have it hooked up to a power supply which gives it 13.8V with 22A in the circuit and it plays VERY well. My only concern is that the protection light is emitting a little bit of light when the bass hits. Not comfy with that because even though it is in bridged mode, my woofer is 8 ohms so it shouldn't be under any pressure to push that speaker in terms of impedance. I will update this post when if and when I do get to try. This amp is raw power. Its safe to say that the Phantom series is a winner:)It lasted only 3 months and is completely dead now.
