This Boss guitar effect pedal features a simple knob based control which is easy to use. With the tone modify function of this multi-effects processor, you can edit tones without any hassle. The sturdy metal case of the Boss ME-50 makes it durable. With this Boss guitar effect pedal, dialing in your tone becomes easy as you have dedicated knobs for each effect section taking away the menu surfing problem. This multi-effects processor has three foot switches allowing you to produce a particular set of sound effects.http://www.hptindia.com/wp-content/plugins/formcraft/file-upload/server/content/files/1626f359970866---bosch-use-and-care-manuals.pdf The Boss ME-50 offers a wide range of sound effects that suit all playing styles. The pedal itself works great but in the description of the merchandise they didn't say anything about not including a power supply and a missing battery compartment door. I had an extra power supply so that wasn't a big deal. However I cannot find a battery door to replace the one that was missing. I specifically bought this one as a back up. It was used but very well taken care of, in fact it looked brand new when I received it. I plugged it in and it works perfect. It actually sounds better than the one I have been using for my gigs. Everything was as specified. The volume button had been replaced but that did not effect the pedal what so ever. I used it a lot leading worship. We are talking 50 effects that sound as good or better than the originals. Affordable, reliable, portable, easy to use. I've owned mine for 7 years and gig with it. I think it sounds fantastic. I attribute this somewhat to the three volume boosters built into the unit. The distortion's, compressor's and master's volume adjustments. Sending a hot clean signal into a tube amp does wonderful things. You gotta love having over 20 different overdrives to choose from. It has a harmonizer, Uni-Vibe, analog delay, reverse echo, chorus, phase, flanger, Leslie simulator, vibrato, chorus, compressor, noise gate, four reverbs, digital delays, wah wah, volume pedal, and more.I'm surprised it doesn't have an envelope filter. The one annoying thing about the ME-50 is that if you switch from one patch to another there is a half second delay of no sound. So switching patches while performing a song is pretty much out of the question. You could however turn the distortion, mod and delays on and off while on a patch. I bought the ME-50 because for certain situations it's the perfect product: sounds really good, it's very easy to use and has just enough to make most of the guitar sounds you hear in use on stage on on records.chicken-cage.com/d/files/98902-manual.pdf It runs on batteries so you can us it anywhere, and has a sturdy metal case, so like other BOSS products, it will stand up to the rigors of heavy use. Does it do everything. No, but things that do are not nearly as easy to use in real time, and for almost all common playing situations, the ME-50 is more than enough. Verisign. For the USA FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION RADIO FREQUENCY INTERFERENCE STATEMENT This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. Something went wrong. To provide the musicians with an option to control the desired aspects of their instrument's tone, this multi-effects unit is equipped with the knob and the pedal switches controls. I have a list of songs with the settings that need to be changed before each one, then the foot pedals are used to switch instantly while playing. I made a dual footswitch for the Compressor and EQ (you can also buy one), and this adds enormously to the convenience. I use the compressor to give a louder and more sustained clean sound for soloes, and the EQ for an acoustic strum sound, and general brightness and lift. The distortion section has a lot of options - I have only used it so far for thick rhythm sounds, but there are heaps of interesting ones you could try (whether they sound good in a band can only be found it by experience, but they sound great at home). There is so much on this device that I' m nowhere near trying it all seriously - the point is I'm having a lot of fun with it, and finding useful stuff every time I look for it. I haven't tried using the memory banks, because I haven't finished tweaking my song settings, but if you were at that stage they would be great, especially for recalling precise delay settings (these are not easy to reproduce manually, as there are no numeric parameter readouts). Built Robust. The ME-50 is now an old unit but a great affordable effects unit, built with the quality you expect from Boss. You would spend a lot more on individual Boss pedals. Fantastic sounds from this box, wth the ability to store 12 patches. While there are less sound choices than newer Boss units, the sounds are a bit higher quality. Basically this is a bunch of Boss analogue pedals in one box, connected by some digital switching. Cancel Thanks, we'll look into this. All Rights Reserved.
