Question; By 'the best settings', are you saying that you want advice on how to adjust the sonic parameters to achieve the most satisfying sounds. I have a friend who plays guitar, and who (I think) owns an old Boss ME-8. Let me chat with him at work today, and I'll get back with you. In the meantime, check out this old youTube demo of the ME-8: It's difficult to see the pedal movements on the far right, but you can just make them out. I hope you can help me with my problem. I dont know what are the settings to be program to my Boss ME-8 to have the great output sounds. Please introduce me to your friend. It's down below the higher number ME's so keep scrolling down until you find it. From there just click on the ME-8 and download to your computer is automatic. Good Luck, kcbuck. Having used other combination effects pedals in the past I can honestly say this pedal being a single effect allows me greater control and its through put to the amplifier gives me a crisp clean sound that allows the full character of my guitar to come through. If you are simply after a chorus effects pedal, I highly recommend you buy one of these. Beautiful sound. All Rights Reserved. I have been trying to learn the ins and outs of the units and have been reading as much as I can. Thanks so much, Anthony I did find that reference page but thanks. I have been reading a lot of your and gumtowns posts and they are an excellent help. I appreciate it very much. It seems to me that it depends what I am plugged into. Unfortunately my main amp, a Johnson Amplification Half stack is being repaired. I'm having a problem with the display on the head so I'm using some other amps and powered speakers I have around. Going through my Randall its a bit too muffled sounding. I have a line 6 spyder IV and didn't care for that combo either. So far the best combination I have come up with is a small set of Alesis studio monitors. Once I get my half stack back from my amp guy Ill be golden as I am going to set it up through that. I haven't ran it through that as Ive only had the Boss for a few weeks and hes had my amp for a month. That amp is like having a built in effects rack as its basically a Digitech 2201 tube preamp with digital modeling effects built in.http://bizwd.com/wp-content/plugins/formcraft/file-upload/server/content/files/1626f2fde10e16---bosch-tca6001uc-service-manual.pdf I think the boss combine with the Johnson should sound excellent. Thanks again for the help, Anthony. That really helps out so much. The biggest thing Im finding is the output choice really does make a big difference. I wish there was a way to select which output method to use on each preset. Say Roland for this patch, small combo this patch etc and have it change as the patch changes. Im already seeing the route you guys use is the route I think I am going to be going, looking into some larger powered monitors as my monitors are smallish, and using the amps on occasion and more with my pedalboard setup. Every bit of info helps. I ended up getting a good heavy distortion sound down this afternoon. I appreciate the help. Anthony OK so your saying there is indeed a global setting that allows me to select what output type to use for each patch and I would select what output device in the patches menu? (I use Tone Central editor on my laptop to edit my patches) Gumtown - can this same concept be used with the GR-55 as well. Some of the photos are difficult to see exactly what you're looking at if your car is a little different, but overall very handy to have around. I was looking for a hard-cover version, but wasn't able to find one anywhere, and now that I've got this one I'm glad I didn't! Ten flexible modules give clinicians tools for engaging kids and their parents and implementing successful exposure and response prevention activities, as well as other cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) strategies. McKenney, Simpson, and Stewart provide the information a therapist needs to competently diagnose, assess, and treat young OCD sufferers. The authors appropriately emphasize the core element of treatment—exposure and response prevention—but also offer guidance for how to promote treatment engagement, include parents effectively, overcome treatment obstacles, and much more. I highly recommend this practical and comprehensive book to any mental health professional interested in the rewarding work of treating children and adolescents with OCD.” —C. Alec Pollard, PhD, Director, Center for OCD and Anxiety-Related Disorders, Saint Louis Behavioral Medicine Institute; Professor Emeritus of Family and Community Medicine, Saint Louis University School of Medicine “This practical and easy-to-follow manual will give more therapists—and hence more children with OCD—access to the powerful techniques of CBT.http://bacvietexpress.com/upload/userfiles/files/canon-video-camera-user-manual.pdf The book leads therapists through a sequence of modules with an abundance of examples and scripts, along with insightful guidance on navigating common clinical challenges. The importance of partnering with both children and parents is emphasized. The reproducible handouts and worksheets help therapists implement this systematic approach and enable clients to participate actively in treatment. A valuable resource in the effort to make treatment more widely accessible!” —Aureen Pinto Wagner, PhD, Director, The Anxiety Wellness Center, Cary, North Carolina “A clinician who is invited into a family to help a child with OCD has a great responsibility not only to address the child's symptoms, but to repair the strain on the family as a whole. This book offers a comprehensive roadmap for meeting this responsibility. While providing a clear, structured protocol for doing effective treatment, the authors never lose sight of the key ingredient in maximizing results—creativity. The manual both affirms what I have been doing right in treatment of pediatric OCD and inspires me to offer families more. I will make this book required reading for anyone I train in this area.” —Jon Hershfield, MFT, Director, The OCD and Anxiety Center of Greater Baltimore References. The Dual COSM amp section provides two discrete amp channels; you can layer and manipulate each engine independently to create wildly expressive sounds. Thanks to the Solo Switch function, lead sounds can be immediately activated — perfect for ripping through the mix. BOSS’s mega-popular GT-6 was a smash hit with guitarists, now the GT-8 is destined to become the go-to box for gigging and recording guitarists alike. Explore new sonic dimensions by combining two amp models, or by switching between them during performance. Select a high-gain Then add clarity to the raw power by using the Smooth Drive model on the other channel. Prepare to be impressed as you tap into the expressive Dynamic mode, where two channels can be controlled based on picking strength. Transition smoothly from clean to mean by simply picking harder or softer. Solo Switch Step into the spotlight with the new Solo Switch feature. Each of the 46 COSM amp models contains a specially programmed variation that’s optimized for soloing. Simply ! Extreme Effects Forty-four effects categories are built into the GT-8. Up to 13 effect blocks can be used simultaneously to create complex textures and routings. All of your FX bases are covered — compressors, reverbs, choruses, EQs, COSM-modeled wahs, and much more. As a special bonus, there’s a selection of synth waves onboard, plus sitar and an acoustic processor. From subtle to sizzling, where will you take your tone. Effects Chain Another area where the GT-8 stomps the competition is in its powerful effects routing. Internally, the 13 FX blocks can be configured in any order you desire (for example, you can freely assign an equalizer after a distortion effect or before it). And if you’d care to take your tone “outside the box” and incorporate some external effects into the GT-8’s signal path, you can do so with the Ext Loop send and return. Flexibility in routing is the name of the game. Bought it a lifetime ago when I wanted to get a bit more into using my guitar - but it has been sitting in a cupboard unused for the last few years. I have tried it out - all appears to be working OK. I have tried to photo it from all angles - the marks on the front side are light abrasions - not cracks. Supplied with the original BOSS transformer but the manual has been downloaded from the net. Thanks for looking. You are the light of the world. Check the latest browser version I can set the effects and distortion etc and the board lights up, but there's no sound when I play my guitar. However if I turn on Memory mode I can use my old presets just fine and can hear the guitar. Has anyone experienced this before. Turning on the OD pedal didn't change anything. I can still turn on all the pedals, there's just no sound. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong considering it worked a couple months ago and I can still play through Memory mode so there's nothing wrong the the input jack or circuitry either. Make sure you get the RCA cable as well. FC-100 also will work with the GP-16 I don't know if it could be done with a different controller and some MIDI trickery, but I'd doubt it. The FC-100 definitely can't do any more real-time MIDI adjustments than the specific parameter you assign the EV-5 expression pedal to do. For instance I want my gain reduced from 8 to 4, at the same time increasing delay and turning on tremolo, I could make all this changes in a push of a single button, wouldn't it be great to have something similar for performance mode, that would save a lot of tap dancing and knob tweaking. One can argue that you can achieve all that setting up different patches, however there is a latency between patch changing and it becomes clunky. One can argue that you can achieve all that setting up different patches, however there is a latency between patch changing and it becomes clunky. I'm not sure what you're going for. Patch changing isn't clunky. As for switching delay it has been confirmed by Kemper that they work one reducing the switching time. I for one don't experience it. Some others do. And Kemper has confirmed to investigate this which is acknowledging there might be a problem. Your post doesn't add anything productive to the thread, neither to the problem. In fact the tone of your recent posts lets you come over as a troll. I suspect that you would notice more latency using this method, than by using the performance mode. I could be, and have been wrong before. That would be something. You know like a delay time, or maybe delay mix, or some other parameter. You could do that with the venerable GT-8, what a great processor that was. I'm really interested in the foot controller, I believe that with NPRN functionality, it could possibly unlock features in the Kemper that you couldn't with a standard controller like my dinky little midi board.
