boss hr-2 manualYou can also select the key that you are playing in, and it creates an instant harmony with your playing. Separate controls for each voice (level control and pitch control).Key switch This knob allows you to select the key that corresponds to the song being played. The HR-2 then creates 1-part or 2-part harmony parts automatically. The HR-2 can add one or two voices of harmony. The key can be selected and the interval and volume of each harmony can be independently adjusted. This instantly adds correct 2-voice harmony to a guitar phrase. A new high-speed detection circuit ensures lightning fast response to speed picking passages. A Detector In jack allows correct pitch detection when combined with other effects. I'm really looking to use the HR-2 for its octave functions, though the harmonies may be fun to glitch around on and the detune may be kinda cool for getting an extra chorus type sound. I suppose my questions are as follows: Are the octaves good on the HR-2? I play post-punk stuff with ambient swells and sometimes post-rock, so I figured this pedal could add an entire new dimension to the sounds of those swells and to some of my lead lines. Will I need to switch the key knob for octave sounds when I play every time. That seems like it could be annoying. I don't really want to complicate my setup with extra cables cuz space is more important to me. If I do trade for this thing, I assume I should put it right at the beginning of my chain after my tuner, correct. I see most people doing this and I understand that helps the tracking and it'll feed my Muff clone a bit better. The Harmonist being offered is evidently a pink label. Does that make much of a noticeable difference.http://chevronhotels.com/uploads/boss-gt3-guitar-effects-processor-manual.xml It tracked poorly and I didn't like the detune effect very much. It was quite unintuitive to control but I imagine you could get used to them after a while. I can't answer many of your questions because I played with it for only a few minutes, but in those eight or so minutes of fiddling, I didn't happen upon any pleasant sounding settings, so I'd steer clear of it. The Boss PS-5 and PS-6 show up for far cheaper used, and more frequently, get one of those and read the manual they have online. I'd rather get good octaves for swells, so I may refocus my attention on saving for a Pitchfork or something. If I were going to try to use the HR-2, I'd definitely be using the Detector In. If you did try it, that would be how I would do it too. I'm about 99 sure that the HR-2 would have a really hard time shifting the signals coming out of a Muff clone, whereas you will have a much better chance going in before it. Looks like I'll refocus on selling to fund the Headrush. All rights reserved Back to top. Please try again.Register a free business account Exclusive access to cleaning, safety, and health supplies. I'll include boxes and leaflets where available too but if I haven't photographed a box I didn't receive one when I bought the pedal.Further pictures and details available on request. Chip on the top right and bottom right corners. Footswitch pops a little but as an 'always on' effect it never bothered me. Various chips all over but, while beautiful, the paint on these is rather brittle. Really great sounding and faithful reproduction of the Maestro B:ASSMASTER. Can often be a few weeks lead time on these, mine is available now ??Some superficial scratches but nothing major. Pretty much 'as new.'Didn't really get much use our of it but a cool effect nonetheless. Have a few preferred chorus pedals so moving this on. Footswitch is a little poppy and there's some low level background noise but I've experienced the same thing on a couple if these pedals. Pretty sure I have the box somewhere for this one. I had to use it to believe that a good power supply will get rid of all unwanted noise in the signal chain, compared to a cheaper one. I actually have 4 of them, gathered throughout the years, all still working flawlessly, and use all four plugged in a power strip under my Pedalboard Classic JR giving me a total of 2000mA and they power 8-9 pedals (mostly analog but also a couple of digital ones) without any problems. No ground loops, no unwanted noise, no need for a professional power supply (such a cioks) yet. Works really well and the build quality is top notch. I Have used them both live and in studio. One minor complaint is that the cable is really really long which is useful when you're trying to reach a socket that's far away but for me that I use them with a power strip under my pedals it can get a bit cluttered under my pedalboard when I have the four of them together. Send report Total quality A really reliable power supply YossMarr, 11.03.2020 I originally bought this for my Dunlop Crybaby Classic GCB95F, because I wanted to invest a little more in the power supply in safety's sake. Though it didn't fit through the hole for the power supply on the pedal, I've found another use for it and am happy to have bought it, because it looks and feels like a reliable and durable piece of technique and there's nothing cheap about it, don't you worry - it's worth it. It has a safety measure in an extra housing - so that if something went wrong the pedal-pedalboard would be safe. Whatsmore it has a fancy blue light that shows whether electricity flows through it. In conclusion, it's a really nice power supply worth the investment.
