Also I'd rather tap tempo on this then on the GT-100.However it's build better then I had thought originally. As is the case with BOSS I find their products always very well made. Pros: -Sturdy. It has a solid aluminium top, you can stomp on it all day long. So more then what I expected when I opened the box and saw that it's build like this. Worked like a charm. -No power supply. No searching for an empty power supply on stage. Turns on when you feed it a cable. -Came with a battery so I could just start using it without having to go the store or whatever. I was really happy with this. I went straight to mapping my effects. -The switches are plastic, but their solid. I actually have to press a bit harder on them cuz sometimes I just tap them too lightly. That being said I think they will last for a looong time. -It's not a battery eater. It'll last you a few shows for sure. -Power indicator if the battery get's low. If you plug a cable into it, the power LED goes on, and it stays on until you pull everything out of it. -No power supply. I know I said this is a pro. It all depends on what you prefer. I'd rather not carry another power supply with me. But some people might prefer that as an alternative to batteries. -Because it's weight is like 470g.The shiner the surface the more it'll slide. For example at home on my wodden floor it slowly moves as I use it. I really like this pedal. It adds the functionality I need to my GT-100. It works great, didn't have to read or document myself on how to get it working. Just got it out of the box, plugged it in an voila. Really well built. Also shipping was reliable and got the unit in top condition. Thanks Thomann. If your looking to get one I'd say just get it.http://aldercom.com/images/boss-fs-6-pedal-manual.pdf It's a good foot switch that I would immediately miss if I something happened to it. Cheers, hope this helps. Send report Total features quality good, but no adapter connector 02.02.2017 The Boss FS-6 is very usable with the boss looper RC-3. But probably it would be better to get the boss looper with 2 pedals RC-30. This solutions is just as big and expensive. I don't like that it only works with a battery and you have to remove the cable to turn off the pedal. This means that you can not turn off the electricity for everything at once but you need to remove this as well. Send report Total features quality Solid Jazzp, 03.06.2020 This footswitch Boss FS-6 is well made and strong. I got it for the Boss Katana MKII 50 and it works great. Lets be switch easily between 4 preset setups. Very sturdy feeling. I have dropped it from a short distance and no damage yet. My only request for improvement is that I wish it had a power switch.I don't know how long the battery would last if I forgot to unplug it some night. Heather 5.0 out of 5 stars I'm a multi-instrumentalist. In my primary band, I play keyboards and saxophones (along with other instruments). For this setup (see photo), I have a block of three FS-6s connected, for a total of six switches. The left three switches are used for sustain on the top, middle, and bottom keyboards. I also have two additional units which I use for my Roland guitar amp, more keyboard sustains, or whatever else I need at the time. There are several reasons I love these switches. Their extreme flexibility tops the list. Each of the two switches on a single pedal can be hooked up either singly with TS cables, or in tandem with one TRS cable. The switches on the back allow you to change the polarity of each switch, changing it from momentary to latching. Finally, the ability to chain them together is fantastic, and makes for a nice, clean setup. There are a couple of cons worth noting. One, they are a bit expensive. In my humble opinion, they are worth every penny, but they represent a healthy investment for something you drop on the floor and step on. Two, they do each require a 9v battery. The good news is, a fresh 9v lasts a really long time in them, especially if you remember to unplug them when not in use.3dtechgroup.com/uploads/image/files/cara-install-template-joomla-manual.pdf I use rechargeables for all my gig gear, and recharge them before every show, so I can perform without worrying about batteries going out. Overall, these are solid little tools that fit a wide range of situations. You'll never be sorry to have one in your gig bag or studio. Why 3 stars? Because it runs on a 9V battery only. When installed on a pedalboard you have to unplug the output plug all the time otherwise the battery will run down. A real pain when the pedalboard is tightly populated. This pedal is NOT equipped with a 9V jack to run on a wall wart. You can use a 9V clip connector to 5.5mm barrel connector adapter but make sure the center of the barrel connector is negative (-).All the makers have different versions of the same switch. Then there's the Boss switch, which doesn't come with a pre-installed cable.I've already been using two of these switches for years, as a controller for an Alesis SR-16 drum machine. That took about 10 years of regular (more than weekly) use. Inside and out, Boss is the best such device out there. The case is thick, solid aluminum with a hard rubber base, and is basically bombproof. The pedal is firm and the switch action is QUIET.It's the best-designed, most durable and most reliable option out there for the price, and it will save you a lot of headaches in the long run.Used this initially on my Boss RC30 loop station because that device requires normally-closed switch for some bizarre reason. But since the pedal is configurable you can use it with pretty much any other device, which I do. Very flexible, useful footswitch.I had not used this or even seen this ever. It is way smaller than I imagined. I thought no battery means we need the power plugged in always. Nope, you don't need power if you need this to do only unlatched function. Input B can use TRS (tip, ring, sleeve) to control both foot switches and input A and B separately can do TS controlling.http://plenar.hr/wp-content/plugins/formcraft/file-upload/server/content/files/1626ec684076e7---bosch-microwave-trim-kit-manual.pdf The foot print is the size of a regular effects pedal, it is compact and like half the size of the FS-6. I will be buying another one of these soon, if not two more. Have used it with a Boss GT-1000, and Boss Nextone amps. If you do not have power near by then the FS-6 would work. Otherwise this is great and comes with a 9 volt power split cable.Works perfectly. Also will work well with boss looper RC1 and RC3 so you don’t have to use a double tap to stop loops etc. I wanted the switch pedal to be as hassle free as possible so mains powered is best for me. A bit expensive but apparently they last many years.Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again This is all induced mains hum, so if you are planning on adding this on a daisy-chained or non-isolated power supply with other pedals, then don’t; it requires a fully isolated 9v supply to prevent potential contamination of the guitar signal. This is particularly evident if you are using a high gain amp channel.Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again Robust build makes it ideal for life on the road. Also useable for different polarities.Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again It's fine for switching channels but beware it doesn't run on batteries so you need a power supply. I've it tagged onto my pedalboard but to be honest, I'm finding my Blues Driver pedal still the go-to for crunch rather than the crunch channel of the Blues Cube Stage amp I have. Still, it's there just to give me a few other options.Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again No real problem, but it just means constantly having to pull the jacks out when not in use. When only used live at gigs this wouldn't be a problem, but for studio use when the keyboard and pedals are permanently set up it's a nuisance.Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again It takes up a small space on my pedal board and it extremely sturdy. I have it plugged into my power supply.http://lichnyiybrand.ru/wp-content/plugins/formcraft/file-upload/server/content/files/1626ec6a15a3b2---bosch-miter-saw-3915-manual.pdf You will need either aTRS cable or two mono cables to use it. I use a TRS cable as I only have one socket on the back of my amp. If your amp has 2 sockets to control different things you will need the 2 mono cables.Sorry, we failed to record your vote. The actual unit does what it is supposed to, however I feel that it has some major design flaws. My second issue is the indicator lights on each of the two pedals that indicate that the effect is active, do not stay lit. In my case the pedal activates chorus and delay and while strumming an acoustic it is not easy to hear if the delay is on or off. Would have been nice if those lights were illuminated while the effect was active. Again, this thing does what I need it to do, but for the price it should do it a lot better. Posted by Andrew on Jan 19, 2018 Was this review helpful.Had it set up in minutes, does what a footswitch is supposed to do. Metal body is more robust than Peavey plastic switch and more Pedalboard friendly size. Works as advertised. Posted by Marcel on Jan 6, 2017 Was this review helpful.I used it to control my drum machine for starts Stops and Fills.I have only had it for 2 and a bit weeks, and my Right pedal has stopped working. And there is a slight delay in the right. It may just be that I got the rare lemon pedal. I will be bringing it back to the store. I highly recommend Boss products. I think I was just one of the unlucky ones to get a the rare bad ones. Posted by Joe on Jan 21, 2015 Was this review helpful.Right happy about it, and cause you can play with the polarity and the latch it can be used with almost any other amp needing a 2 button switch. You'll need to buy a cable (stereo cable in my case) which is fine, can be as long as you want. Posted by Mike on Apr 3, 2014 Was this review helpful.BOSS is horible for making you have to pay stuff that should come with their products. Power supplies for example. At least this item can be used with other stuff. With the ability to set polarity and go latched or unlatched I can use this puppy on a varity of things made by Alesis, Digitech and other items that allow external pedals. Posted by Jymbopalyse on Jun 11, 2013 Was this review helpful.Super well built, they've been stood on for over a year now and respond super quick and without a single hiccup, even after the cat peed on it, just a bit of cleaning and it worked perfectly. Posted by anonymous on Jan 28, 2013 Was this review helpful.Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100. Product Replacement - if your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided. No Lemon Policy - your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times. Loaners Available - a loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired. Power Surge Protection - your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge. Accessory Coverage - any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered. Commercial Use Coverage - music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, woodwind pads, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Accidental or cosmetic damage is not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada. The pricing is as follows: NEW products: 4 of selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4 for each additional year. USED products: 4 of selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. 4 for each additional year. Pricing for used electronic products is 4 of the original new selling price. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.
