Heather 5.0 out of 5 stars I'm a multi-instrumentalist. In my primary band, I play keyboards and saxophones (along with other instruments). For this setup (see photo), I have a block of three FS-6s connected, for a total of six switches. The left three switches are used for sustain on the top, middle, and bottom keyboards. I also have two additional units which I use for my Roland guitar amp, more keyboard sustains, or whatever else I need at the time. There are several reasons I love these switches. Their extreme flexibility tops the list. Each of the two switches on a single pedal can be hooked up either singly with TS cables, or in tandem with one TRS cable. There are a couple of cons worth noting. One, they are a bit expensive. In my humble opinion, they are worth every penny, but they represent a healthy investment for something you drop on the floor and step on. Two, they do each require a 9v battery. The good news is, a fresh 9v lasts a really long time in them, especially if you remember to unplug them when not in use. I use rechargeables for all my gig gear, and recharge them before every show, so I can perform without worrying about batteries going out. Overall, these are solid little tools that fit a wide range of situations. You'll never be sorry to have one in your gig bag or studio.Why 3 stars? Because it runs on a 9V battery only. When installed on a pedalboard you have to unplug the output plug all the time otherwise the battery will run down. A real pain when the pedalboard is tightly populated. This pedal is NOT equipped with a 9V jack to run on a wall wart. You can use a 9V clip connector to 5.5mm barrel connector adapter but make sure the center of the barrel connector is negative (-).All the makers have different versions of the same switch.Then there's the Boss switch, which doesn't come with a pre-installed cable.I've already been using two of these switches for years, as a controller for an Alesis SR-16 drum machine. That took about 10 years of regular (more than weekly) use. Inside and out, Boss is the best such device out there. The case is thick, solid aluminum with a hard rubber base, and is basically bombproof. Very flexible, useful footswitch.I had not used this or even seen this ever. It is way smaller than I imagined. I thought no battery means we need the power plugged in always. Nope, you don't need power if you need this to do only unlatched function. Input B can use TRS (tip, ring, sleeve) to control both foot switches and input A and B separately can do TS controlling. The foot print is the size of a regular effects pedal, it is compact and like half the size of the FS-6. I will be buying another one of these soon, if not two more. Have used it with a Boss GT-1000, and Boss Nextone amps. If you do not have power near by then the FS-6 would work. Otherwise this is great and comes with a 9 volt power split cable.Works perfectly. Also will work well with boss looper RC1 and RC3 so you don’t have to use a double tap to stop loops etc. I wanted the switch pedal to be as hassle free as possible so mains powered is best for me. Send report Total quality Get your foot on! 18.09.2016 I bought this pedal for my ableton push, since the push uses an inverted polarity I needed something that had that function as a switch, and this one did the trick most certainly. The pedal itself is good and firmly built, thanks to rubber pads on the back it will stay strongly on the ground you place it and doesnt slip or slide even the slightest. The edges are a little sharp and I've almost hurt myself a couple of times while holding it so be careful. But in total this is a very good pedal indeed and would recommend you buying it because of it's incredible portability and the polarity switch which renders it useful for pretty much anything with an input for sustain pedals.
