User-Friendly Manuals. Product Instructions. I thought it was a reverb pedal when I bought it and found out it's actually an amp modeller. The reverb is really good on it but doesn't do the spacey echo stuff I'm looking for. I was going to keep it because of the fantastic overdrive you can get out of it but I already use 3 different drive pedals so can't really justify keeping it. I looked briefly through the book on the ride home, but pedals don't really need instructions. I'd prefer extra knobs instead of knobs on top of each other. I don't use it on the Clean channel. I like how the Twang channel sounds with the gain off on the amp. This pedal sounds very nice. The gain is wonderful. It's amazing how it makes a solid state amp sound. But I haven't found a very big difference in sound when adjusting the bass and treble.I was surprised how light the FDR-1 is. It feels like plastic, compared to the metal casing of DigiTech pedals. This pedal is perfect for the classic rock tunes my band covers. Love Removal Machine, Wild Flower, Dirty Deeds, Rock and Roll, this pedal really shines. My other pedals are a DigiTech Grunge, and Hyper Phaser. I recently sold my DigiTech Screaming Blues, because it didn't have the sound I was looking for. I love the Overdrive this pedal can put out, and how it sounds, even through a solid state amp. The reverb is ok. It's better then the reverb built into my amp. Give this pedal a try. Back in the day, the RV-5 was the go-to Boss reverb pedal. Described by some as having a slightly metallic sounding reverb, The RV-3 is perhaps not quite at same level of sound quality as newer Boss reverb pedals. This is understandable given the pedal’s age. There are four reverb modes on the RV-3: Plate, Hall and two Room modes. Room 1 offers a tight studio ambience, while room 2 is a little more expansive with slower decays. There are also three delay modes, with up to 2000 ms of delay, and you can combine the reverb and delay effects together to produce some cool sounds. Production of the the RV-3 began in 1994 until it was discontinued in 2002. It was a popular pedal at the time and it still has a lot of die-hard fans, making it hard to get hold of at a decent price.
