Bosch warranty is also 2 years so I can imagine them being a headache to deal with if I try and raise ACL. From the above reviews it seems Bosch doesn't value it's reputation here in Australia. Repairing these units by yourself would be nightmare as even the fridge repa. Fragile shelving. published 5 years ago Since originally purchasing this fridge it has always struggled to freeze food, and now after only 4 years it is refusing to freeze at all. We refilled the ice trays yesterday and this morning, they're still not frozen. The fridge temperature control is also failing, with milk going sour after 2-3 days. We have adjusted the fridge and freezer settings to their maximum, with no success. The internal storage compartments are also of poor quality with one the plastic trays breaking under little weight. Very disappointing performance for a Bosch product. I also called them in because of a noisy compressor but was informed this was noticeable because my apartment was quiet!! The temperature controls are very confusing, even to Bosch, as they are labelled min to max. The brochures broken English sort of implies that min is the minimum temperature but Bosch replied to an email saying. Read more that they believe min is minimum cooling. I've tried all the settings and still cannot get the temperatures where they should be. Avoid Fisher and Paykel too as their Fridge freezer I owned was useless and changed 4 times yes 4 to no avail. I also had a Mitsubishi Fridge Freezer and regret to this day having sold it. It was wonderful; efficient, quiet and performed as advertised. SOLUTION FOR SHELVES- The solution to this problem was provided to me by a fridge re-conditioner who advised to purchase from a Glazier 6ml beveled glass to replace the shelves. Ensure you measure your shelving front and back to fit exactly as we found our shelves tapered a few ml toward the back. Read more ly manufactured causing panels in fridge to vibrate and rattle,he replaced motor with genuine part but did not have genuine impeller so fitted a GE part which fixed another problem with freezer poor airflow and slow temperature recovery time causing compressor to run almost constantly day and night for 4 years, we now have silence for extended periods at night and the freezer temp is fairly constant on -19c.The freezer stopped working over Xmas the compressor ran but the fan stopped causing a big ice ball in freezer. Doing my own research, I found is was likely to need a new fan which makes sense, some areas were fine but that cool wasn’t circulating. Looking at online chats this appears to be a common issue with this fridge. As technicians wouldn’t just get a fan and install it, they required a paid visit, then would order a fan then install it at a second paid visit.
