Complete instruction for the self cleaning function can be found on page 26 of the appliance user manual. Before running the cleaning program you must first clean the oven surfaces which are not self cleaning in nature. Then set the function selector to 3D hot air, set the temperature to clean, press the clean button and CL will display in the display. The oven will automatically switch off after one hour, a signal will sound and the CL will flash in the display, then turn off the function and temperature selectors. Once the oven has cooled simply wipe away the residue from the self cleaning components with a moist cloth. Like Share More 3 answers DaveBowe 5 years ago You need to take the shelves out and the side shelf holders (which you kind of simultaneously lift upwards and pull away from the walls of the oven). Turn the dial on the left to the icon with 4 rows of 4 dots (on my model it is at about 10 o'clock). Then turn the dial on the right to 1,2, or 3 (which on my model is between 9 o'clock and 11 o'clock). The oven should then start it's cleaning cycle. Hope this helps. To complete the self clean, the oven must first be empty, all oven tray trays, accessories, racks and the side rails inside the appliance must be removed. Ensure the internal glass door is manually cleaned before using the self clean function as this does not clean the door itself.http://aquaer.com/images/bosch-hbn13m551b-user-manual.pdf You can choose from 3 cleaning levels; 1 for light cleaning 2 for moderate cleaning 3 for intensive cleaning Set the function selector to the icon with 20 small dots inside the box. Then set the temperature to one of the settings following 300 degrees, either 1, 2 or 3. Close the door and wait until clean is complete approximately 1hr 15min up to 2hrs depending on cleaning level selected. The best advice I can give you is to double or triple wrap a thick elastic-band around the lens as this will give you much better grip than you will get on the glass alone. Once the lens moves a small amount it will unscrew relatively easily. The constant heating and cooling of the oven causes them to lock. Please switch off the power supply to the oven before replacing the bulb and make sure you have clean hands when replacing the bulb - grease from your fingers can cause the bulb to fail or shorten its life considerably. Once it has been removed it's like any other light bulbs, unscrew and change. Make sure to put back the cover tightly in place or the light will burn when the oven turns on.The bulb has blown and is encased in a glass cover. The intructions say to turn anti-clockwise to remove the cover, but it just won't budge. Ant ideas how I may free it? The only thing you can try is to turn the power off and spray around the edge of the glass with oven cleaner and leave for a couple of hours in the hope that it will soften and allow you to unscrew it. Be careful not to get the spray cleaner on to the heating elements.The light has blown but I am unable to remove the glass cover to replace the bulb. It appears as if the glass cover has fused into its surround because it.
