It's repeated in the service manual too. Unfortunately, your appliance doesn't have a clean setting on it. Only the pyrolytic cleaning oven has the clean function. For some reason they've left the statement in your manual. Basically, the cleaning function runs the oven at a much hotter temperature than normal. Anything is then burned off of the liners. I can only assume that by running your oven on maximum temperature for an hour or so would have a similar effect on your oven liners. Sorry.
