Whereas channel 4 controls all channels independently this I found to be a little bit confusing at first because I figured if you have it on channel one it would be independent channels but that's not how it works check out the video that I posted for further review on this. This has four fuses that are for each light channel and also has a connector for rope lights. When you select the channel fixture on your DMX controller fader one through four will be your outlet control. There are no other special effects that I have found on this unit. In the user manual it literally goes between channel 4 which appears to continue but it is incorrect it starts off with DMX operation on page 4 on the bottom and then if you turn it over you would expect to see page 5 but they have the pages out of order page 5 is actually on the right side where Page 6 should go and Page 6 is on the left side page 5 and 6 tell you about the chase modes and how to program them don't get confused and thinking that the DMX mode you can also use the chase as well this may have been an oversight at the manufacturer but the information is all there you just have to pay attention to it. If you find this review helpful please give it a likeI couldn't find anyone in any of our local pro shops that had heard of this brand. So purchasing these units were a risk. So it was no surprise that the instructions for use with a software based light controller on a computer were not included. So you probably won't find 'Auto Settings' for this brand for your DMX use either. It took us a while to figure out but we eventually got it to work with the settings for a Chauvet DMX Dimmer Pack with similar specks. After research, see that this is a common problem with DMX controllers and low voltage LED lights. Solved that problem by putting a dummy incandescent load (small desk lamp) in the same circuit. Lamp comes up with DMX, but that isn't a problem for my application. If you know DMX it's easy to use.http://www.degrossier.nl/uploads/bosch-jigsaw-user-manual.xml Running with DMX196 for studio mood lighting.Arrived faster than originally stated. This makes my 3rd one that I've purchased. I use them for stage lighting for a band. With dual 3-prong Edison sockets per channel, allowing you to hook up two devices per channel. Also the DP-DMX20L has 4 LED's display for channel activity. Using the packs digital display, the pack is quick and easy to set up. There are dual Edison sockets supplied so more than one effect can be connected to each channel. There are 16 built in chase sequences, with speed and intensity control, available for your convenience. This device also has four external channel fuses which allows for quick and easy serviceability while out on the road. Another feature we included was the sleek reversible mounting panel on the rear to make it easier to install. Also for your safety we have a zero crossing circuitry for protection of the transformer loads when switching. Especially on professional events the breakdown of any part of the equipment cannot be accepted. This universal power pack has an automatic circuit breaker on every channe. News Markets About Us This compact unit features eight, 3-prong Edison sockets (2 for each channel) controlling up to 8 fixtures. The built-in hanging bracket is reversible to hang on truss or can be used with a clamp. This product has been thoroughly tested at our factory for quality and assurance. Your comments regarding our products and services are always welcome. Please be sure to read these instructions before operating this unit and keep them in a safe place for possible reference later. Each output channel contains dual 15 Amp Edison sockets that allow for two devices to be plugged into a single channel. Each channel can then be controlled via standard DMX 512 signal by adjusting a relevant channel fader on your DMX console. The dip switches on the face of the unit allow you to set the DMX patch address and operation mode for the pack.http://www.drupalitalia.org/node/67994 Standard binary code should be used to set your DMX patch address. Dip Switch 10 is the “Mode” switch. The setting of this switch determines the packs’ operation mode, either as a Dimmer or Switch pack. There are also 4 channel output LED’s that allow you to view active channels. When the unit is set to Dim mode, these LED’s dim in real time as the relevant channel is adjusted. A DMX signal indicator LED is also incorporated so that when DMX signal is present, the LED illuminates. Warning: This unit must be earthed. Keep the unit dry, do not expose it to water or high levels of humidity. Do not allow for any flammable liquids to come in close contact with the unit. Technical repairs should be performed by an authorized technician. Do not operate this unit if the internal components are exposed. When replacing fuses, always replace with the same type and value. Mounting: The DP-415 was designed to be mounted on any form of pipe using an approved rigging clamp or onto any flat surface via hardware that is not included with the product. Note: there should always be at least 12” of clearance between the pack and anything surrounding it. It is also recommended that you use a safety cable whenever mounting over head. To fasten a clamp to the unit, we recommend that you use either of the two supplied center holes. One is on the top side and the other is on the rear. Use the one that better suites your rig. Another means of hanging the unit, is by turning the rear panel around 180?. You will need a phillips head screw driver to reverse the panel. Disconnect the units' power cord, remove the four phillips head screws on the back of the unit, reverse the panel so the flanged side is facing out and replace the four phillips head screws. This will allow you to hang the pack onto any 2” pipe (If you use this method to hang the unit, you must use a safety cable to ensure the unit does not fall down).https://www.dulamari.com/images/4-axis-cnc-usb-card-mach3-200khz-breakout-board-manual.pdf The final means of mounting this unit is onto a flat surface where you can secure at least two bolts. This means an exposed wood beam, metal beam, wall that you can determine has enough support to hold the units weight, etc. There are three holes on the back panel supplied for this form of mounting. Use at least two of them, (preferably, the two outside holes) with at least 2” lag bolts. Connections: The DP-415 is supplied with a 15 Amp, 12 gauge power line cord. Plug the line cord into a service capable of suppling up to 15 amps to the pack. Lamp loads should be plugged into the dual 15 Amp Edison sockets which are fitted on the sides of the pack and are clearly marked on the front panel. Each channel can accept a load of up to 5 Amps or 600 Watts. Be sure to not overload any channel as this may result in blown fuses and malfunction. Using a 3 pin XLR, DMX cable, connect out of your DMX console or previous fixture in line and into the DMX IN of the DP-415. Connect out of the DP-415, DMX OUT, and into the input of the next device in line. Set Dip Switches as required (See Page 3- “Set DMX Address”). It is recommended that the last pack or fixture in line include a DMX terminator into the Output. This will minimize data transmission errors. Each set of sockets is labeled with the relevant channel number. 2. Channel Output LED’s (1-4): These LED’s indicate relevant channel activity. 3. Power indicator LED: This LED illuminates when the power switch is ON. 4. Dip-switches: Dip switches 1-9 are used to set the starting DMX address channel and dip switch 10 is used to select the packs operation mode. When dip switch 10 is set to “ON”, the pack functions as a Switch pack. Each dip switch incorporates a value that should be used when trying to figure out DMX address settings. The value for every dip switch doubles counting from left to right. The goal is to try to get to the required DMX patch number by using the least number of dip switches and adding the binary values for each dip switch to land on the required address number. For Example: These would be the dip switch settings for the specified DMX addresses. Any DMX value below 128 will switch the relevant channel OFF. Page 3 Troubleshooting: No Power to the pack: Disconnect the power line cord. Reconnect the line cord to ensure proper connection. If the problem still persists, check the building service panel and make sure the service circuit breakers are ON. No Channel Output: Disconnect the power line cord. Check the corresponding channel fuse or fuses by removing the four phillips head screws on the rear panel to expose the circuit board and fuses. Always replace with same type and value. The DP-415 incorporates four 6.3A 250V normal blow fuses. Replace rear panel and phillips head screws. No DMX Control: Check your dip switch settings. Ensure that the correct dip switches are set to the ON position. Check the DMX channel patch on your DMX console if available. Once you describe your problem to the customer service representative, he or she will determine whether it should be sent in or not. If it does need to be sent in, you will be issued a return authorization number that must accompany the package when sent in. Channel Output.Total 15A max., 5A per channel Fuse(Internal). Rosenberg, Texas, USA If you continue to use this site we will assume that you are happy with it. Ok. It is a stand-alone device that acts as a web server. Users can configure and control it from a web browser that connects through an Ethernet port or across a WiFi connection. Alternatively, you can connect a monitor, a USB keyboard, and a USB mouse directly to the controller to run your CNC machine with no computer at all. Another unique feature is the Logitech F310 gamepad used for local control. Just plug it into one of the USB ports and start jogging the machine on any axis. Plug a webcam into a USB port and the Buildbotics Controller becomes a video server. You can now keep an eye on cutting operations while you watch the game in another room. Limit switches, Z-axis probing, PWM spindle control, RS485 spindle control, and e-stop interfaces are all made available through a DB25 connector on the back. A DB25 breakout board provides easy access to these pins. Two load switches, each capable of supplying up to 10 amps are provided as well. These can be used for powering heater beds, extruders, and whatever else you can think of. Pre-made cables are provided for connecting to the motors, power supply, and load switches. These cables really save time when connecting up a new machine. To make life even easier, the power connector is compatible with some standard power adapters. Heat dissipation was carefully considered throughout the design. As a result, the controller electronics are inside a sleek enclosure with no fan. Cuttings won't get sucked into the controller even when operating right next to the CNC machine. Exposed electronics are a thing of the past. The controller is integrated with CAMotics; a popular Open-Source CAM and CNC Simulator. CAMotics allows importing GCode, DXF, or STL files. Alternatively, CAMotics allows writing cutting programs in Javascript. After simulating, CAMotics converts the output to GCode and can connect directly to the Buildbotics Controller and provide a real-time simulation as the machine is cutting. The combination of CAMotics and Buildbotics provides the elusive Open-Source tool chain. This tool chain works great. There’s still a lot of work to do. Please consider joining our growing list of Open-Source contributors. Performance is critical for CNC Controllers. The Buildbotics CNC Controller is a powerhouse working on 12-36 Volts DC, supplying up to 6 amps on each motor, and generating over 250,000 steps per second on each axis. S-curve acceleration and deceleration eliminate machine movements caused by sudden starts and stops. These capabilities provide smooth and fast operation on nearly any machine running NEMA 17 or 23 stepper motors and many machines running NEMA 34 stepper motors. Controller Operation Safety Machine tools are inherently dangerous. Users must be trained on all hazards associated with the machine before use. Examples of hazards commonly associated with machine tools include: Electrical energy High noise Dust (often toxic) Toxic gases Flying material and parts Pinch points Sharp edges Rotating machinery Rapidly moving parts Fire Heat These hazards are complicated, and often exacerbated by allowing computers to control them. The Buildbotics CNC Controller is a computer that controls machine tools. Users must be on constant guard against the possibility that the controller will cause the machine to do something that is unexpected. Users are responsible for mitigating these hazards prior to use of the Buildbotics CNC Controller. Please also read our General Disclaimer as it applies to the information contained on this Website as well as to our products. Users that find these restrictions and limitations unacceptable should contact the Buildbotics LLC customer service department (707) 559-8539 for a refund prior to using or energizing the product. Turning on the controller Turn off the “Enable” switch, connect power and then turn on the “Enable” switch. LCD Display The LCD display is located on the front panel of the Buildbotics Controller and presents status information. The LCD display will immediately illuminate after power is connected and the Enable switch is switched to “Enable”. If the controller is attached to a network, it will boot more quickly. Once this display is presented, the Buildbotics Controller is ready for operation. It does not reflect the actual speed that the spindle is turning. The axis position fields on the right show the current position of the respective axis in millimeters or inches depending on whether the controller is operating in Metric or Imperial units. If a gamepad is plugged in, you can scroll through two additional screens by pressing on the left or right side of the screen selector button on the gamepad. LCD Status Display One push to the right brings up a status screen that displays the temperature inside the enclosure (Tmp), the input voltage (In), the voltage sent to the motors (Out), the total motor current (Mot), the current sent on Load 1 (Ld1), the current sent on Load 2 (Ld2), the current used by the internal electronics (Vdd), and the status flags (Flg). The status flags are for internal use by Buildbotics. Another push to the right brings up the network screen which shows the hostname and IP address that are assigned to this controller. LCD Network Screen Connections Connections to the Buildbotics Controller are made through the back panel. The 12 to 36 volt power connector can accept voltages from 12 to 36 Volts DC and can sink up to 20 amps of DC current. DC power connector pin numbering The power connector is 6-pin connector. Pins 1, 2, and 3 are on the top row and are connected to ground. Pins 4, 5, and 6 are on the bottom row and are connected to dc power between 12 and 36 volts. The connector has reverse polarity protection built in.
