Check the device's specification before purchasing a MHL cable. 2. Some products have proprietary connectors not shown above (such as the dock connector on the Apple iPad or iPhone.) Check for digital video accessory adapters or cables from the manufacturer. While playing video and audio from your MHL compatible device, the 3M Streaming Projector charges your device. Additionally, you can control your device using the projector's remote control. Connect the other end of the cable to the video device’s HDMI output. You will need a Display Port to HDMI adapter or cable. Connect the DisplayPort to HDMI adapter to the device. The following section describes each setting and how to navigate the menu system. Item Menu Item Description Brightness Adjusts the dark levels of the image. Contrast Adjusts the bright levels of the image. Navigation Help Since the buttons on the projector have multiple purposes, Navigation Help provides a key for the buttons on the projector. On-Screen Icons One of the following icons will appear when the projector does not detect an input, detects a MHL device but no input, or the video resolution is not supported. - No input detected - video resolution is not supported - A MHL device is detected but the video signal is not. Reset the projector by disconnecting the video input and power, and then press the reset button using an uncoiled paper clip. This will turn off the projector and allow you to turn the projector on again. First, try removing the Roku Streaming Stick or disconnect the video cable. Do you see the 3M logo screen. If not, try turning off the projector and turning it on again. If you do not, the stick may not be inserted properly. The native resolution of the projector is 480p. Therefore, resolutions greater that 720p may appear blurry. The projector displays a WVGA (854 x 480) image.http://manegedebuitenwijck.nl/uploads/3ware-9650se-4lpml-manual.xml If the product does not conform to the warranty within the warranty period, 3M’s exclusive obligation is to repair, replace or refund the purchase price of the non- conforming product. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. I laid in bed, turned the lights off and projected Facebook on my white walls. The projector has a built in speaker but to enhance the sound I just turned on my Bose Bluetooth speaker and it felt like I was in a movie theater. I will be using this to teach my college course because the classroom they assigned me to does not have a projector. I am so excited. You must charge the projector first before turning it on. It runs for three hours once fully charged. It can be easily found in RadioShack. I wish the company had put it in the package. Works well, is small and light. The picture is fine. If you are using it for a presentation you might need to focus it a couple of times. I had three presentations with it. The audio quality is good and I was satisfied with the picture. Please try again later. Ultimately, it does the job and works well, but it feels a bit like having a co worker hand some stuff to you without telling you exactly what or how to use it. Out of the box, this thing did nothing.http://www.drupalitalia.org/node/67370 It comes with an inadequate quick start guide, and there's a user guide available on line that's not much better. It was supposed to show a status light for charging when plugged in, and turn on when the ON button was pressed, but I had no such luck. Supposedly, you should be able to simply plug a device in, turn this on, and you are off to go. And in many cases, it will do just that. You can also flip or mirror the image, which could be important if you want to mount this upside down from the ceiling or have a use that requires mirroring. These changes, as well as changes in brightness, contrast and a few others can be done from a simple menu. Unfortunately, the layout of the menu is poor and the highlighted choice stands out so little that I had to reread the manual several times to make sure I was using it right. The irony is that this unit can produce a bright, clear picture with very good resolution, so it should not have been a problem getting the menu right. But once you get it set up (and in most cases you probably won't need to change any of the menu items) you get a very crisp and bright (assuming at least a moderately dark room) picture with 480p resolution. That should be well suited to presentations and even video. The specs say that it will project an image anywhere from 10 inches to 80 inches. Surprisingly, it works quite well at the upper end of the range, even in a room with windows and ambient light coming in through the shades. I also tried it at 10 inches, which has a practical use because when you are setting it up, it gives you a quick way of checking things without needing to aim it at a wall. The included remote control has arrow buttons, volume, play, FF, REW and other buttons necessary for setup or controlling an MHL device that supports it.http://chougantravel.com/images/3m-projector-mp-7750-manual.pdf It comes with an HDMI cable, and you will need adapters if you want to use it with an Apple product or other tablets or smart phones that give you Mobile High-Definition Link (MHL) output through a micro-USB port. 3M opted to leave out the cables for these, but opted to give you all sorts of power connectors so this can be used internationally. That saves you the trouble of buying a power adapter kit. Which set of accessories would have made the most sense to include will depend upon the user. In my case, I already have the power plug connector equivalent and assume that those who travel internationally already have that too. I also have an MHL to HDMI cable, but never needed a connector for my iPad until I got this device. They don't claim to give you anything they don't, although they do picture the device hooked up to an iPad. So make sure you have what is needed to get this to work for you. The bottom line is that you get a nice unit that's surprisingly small and light but gives you quite a good picture. Despite my initial impressions, it's a good unit once you start using it. UPDATE: 3M also makes a consumer version of this projector, The usage instructions and most text are identical in every detail, except for the instructions related to plugging in the Roku stick as an alternative to just an HDMI cable (which is of course supported.) The difference in specs are that the consumer model projects up to 120 inch screen instead of 80 inch. But it does so from the same distance range, and all dimensions and other specs are identical. Thus it appears that the lens mechanism may be the only difference. The other stated difference is battery life. The consumer model claims only a 2.5 hour maximum life, but that may be due to use with the Roku stick. The specs list both power consumption in watts and battery specs in voltage and mAh as identical. Resolutions are listed as identical for input and output. So you may want to consider the consumer model, or at least read its reviews for comparison purposes. The Roku stick can also be used with other compatible devices with an MHL port such as certain HDTVs. (It looks like an HDMI port but must say MHL to work; check with Roku for compatibility.) But also consider that there may be a reason why the professional model has a different projection range. It would make sense not to develop a separate lens system and have separate production costs unless there were an inherent advantage to somebody. I can't see a marketing advantage to limiting the projection range and it's harder to keep quality up in a lens with a broader range, so it may be that this model has better quality optics. However, that's speculation on my part. I haven't compared the units side by side for optical quality, so don't consider this a review of the other model. Again, that's probably with the Roku stick installed, and might not reflect a real difference otherwise. Please try again later. Please try again later. Jennifer A. Ray 5.0 out of 5 stars I am a Systems Engineer at a Systems Integration company and we often perform demos of our software for customers during the sales process. Having a small portable projector is ideal for those times when I accompany a salesperson to a customer's office to perform these demos. At home, I wanted a projector to more comfortably view movies and shows streamed to my PC via HBO Go, Amazon Prime Streaming, etc. While I can view it on my laptop, having these videos play on a larger screen is much nicer. The 3M MP300 Mobile Projector is definitely compact - I could even fit it in my purse if I wanted to. Most people would be able to fit this in their briefcase, unless that briefcase is already bulging at the seams. It is also refreshingly easy to connect and set up. The projector comes with a standard HDMI cable, which I connected to the HDMI port on my laptop, then turned the projector on. Voila! The projector immediately mirrored my laptop's display and adjusted the resolution to one ideal for the projector. Disconnecting the projector from the PC automatically returns the computer's resolution to your normal setting. I was also able to change the display to use an extended desktop view rather than mirroring my desktop so that I could show something different on the projector than I displayed on the laptop's monitor. This is a great configuration for demonstrations so that you can show slides or a product on the screen while checking or taking notes on the laptop. 3M makes a tabletop screen they recommend for this projector, but I opted for a screen with a tripod instead, The MP300 works very well with this screen and takes advantage of the wide screen aspect. The further back you move the projector, the larger the picture on the screen is. The projector also plays sound through its internal speaker. However, the sound may not be loud enough for some meeting rooms. To accommodate this, 3M has built this projector with an audio out port so you can attach some better external speakers if you wish. The projector has a rechargeable battery, so you can use it without external power for a few hours - long enough to watch a movie or give most demos. Should you have a need for longer use, you can use the power adapter that is included in the package to keep it powered on. The same adapter is used to charge the battery. I am very pleased with the 3M MP300 projector. Interested buyers should be aware that this projector only works with HDMI ports, so you should check your device to make sure you can connect to it.Please try again later. Please try again later. Ruthie 5.0 out of 5 stars First impression out of the box was amazement at how small it is. It really does fit in the palm of your hand. I was further amazed at how clear and bright the projection is. I turned the projector on at 4pm in my living room which has a total of 5 windows that face North, East, and South. I projected my computer screen image on the west wall. It was nice and bright. It is cloudy and rainy outside so not as bright as usual, but I can see being able to use this at any time of day. The images I projected were a movie and some personal pictures on a blank wall to check the brightness and ability to see the image well. I was very impressed at the very clear images. Dark images were distinct, though not as bright as the TV. The projector comes with an HDMI cable cord, power cable, and multiple power adapters. It also has a remote control. The great thing about its battery life is that you can use this projector when camping by projecting a movie on the side of your tent - which I plan on trying this summer. The only issue I had with the projector was that it would not turn on at first, but after trying several times to turn it on I discovered that I needed to turn the plug upside down in the wall socket to make it work. A great projector that is easy to travel with - I highly recommend it!Please try again later. Please try again later. I am pleased how well this works considering its size. Setup is easy all you do is literally connect the hdmi cable and it starts working. It comes with a hdmi cable. If your desktop does not have a hdmi port (I have one older desktop computer without a hdmi port) you need to buy an adaptor. It works great with the hdmi port on a laptop. The picture and sound quality was fine. This was used show pictures as well as graphs with music in the background and it looked and sounded great. This is not meant to be used in a bright room but I was able to use it during the day in a room with the blinds closed. There is a small hand held control(which you don't have to use) that attaches to the projector. It allows you to do the basics like turn the projector on and off, control the sound and advance the image. It responds well to the touch. This comes with a 3.5 hour battery charge which I did not try since there is an electrical outlet nearby. My one issue is that the quick start guide has very little information. It has a few drawings with one to five word explanations, in eight languages, showing how to inset the hdmi cable or plug this into an outlet. When the number of languages exceed the description something is lacking. For example the guide failed to mention the need to hold down the power button for at least five seconds for it to turn on and it does not go into any detail about using the control feture. Once when I called customer support I got someone in a few minutes the other time I waited over 15 minutes and I would up leaving a message and someone called me back. I gave this four stars because of the lack of information in the quick start guide and the fact that you need an adaptor to use this with a computer with a hdmi connectionPlease try again later. Please try again later. I connected this projector to my Ipad. The Ipad HDMI adapter is not included, but an HDMI cable is. I projected HD video onto the bare wall above my TV. I would estimate the projected video was about 71 inches using my 61 inch TV right below it as a benchmark. I was very impressed with the color quality and sharpness of the picture. The video quality is 480P and looks great. The applications for a quality projector this small are endless. You can use it for professional presentations, especially because it has a standard tripod mounting hole into which you can screw a tiny flexible tripod. As others have noted, it would be great for camping or to view movies in your room on vacation. You could screen pictures and videos for your friends and family. And this projector is so small that it travels really well. The sound projected from the unit itself is adequate, but you would want to plug some portable speakers into the headphone jack if you were using this in a group setting. All and all, I am pretty impressed with the unit. I gave it four instead of five stars because of the inadequate instruction manual. I could not turn on the unit after I plugged it in and assumed my unit was broken until I read the other reviews here which informed me that I must hold the power button for at least 5 seconds for the unit to power up. This information should be in the instructions. There is also no information about charging times or use times, and the cover that must be removed to reveal the HDMI slot is difficult to open and the instructions on how to open it are sparse. I feared I would break it because of the amount of force it required to finally pry it open. Once you learn how to use the unit through the power of self-discovery, however, you can't beat the quality image in such a small footprint. Please try again later. Please try again later. But from my experience with the 3M MP300 Mobile Projector, I have been very satisfied. I didn't expect an HD quality video and earth shattering sound system as this is just a portable device that can run with just battery power or plugged in to a power source. I've used this indoors with the shutters closed and projected movies onto the wall and the video is great, not the brightest, but it works for me. I am planning on buying a portable projector screen to I can use this outdoors in the summer. First off, the video is great for this tiny device, I have used this with my WDTV box and it played perfect. I use and external Logitech speaker with improves the sound quality, the built in speakers works just fine in a quiet environment, however the humm of the cooling fan can also affect the sound quality. Value, it is on the expensive side, however if you are planning on using this for video watching, you might want to consider this - I would recommend this for folks that want to use this devices for play. Please try again later. Please try again later. The 3M MP300 Mobile Projector is only four inches in size, weighs less than one pound, but is capable of projecting an image that is impressive. The device comes with a very light and thin remote control. I tested the MP300 by plugging its HDMI cable into my cable TV box. At a distance of six feet, the image size was comparable to that of my 46-inch HDTV screen. The brightness was somewhat less, but easily visible in a moderately lit room. The instruction manual that comes with the device is minimal. However, there is a full 48-page manual that may be downloaded from the Internet. Use the search phrase - 3M MP300 manual, or go to the web address that I have posted in a comment attached to this review. At first, I thought that the projector would not turn on. I called the customer service number for advice. They did answer promptly. In order to start the MP300, it is necessary to hold the start button down for several seconds. Also, plug the DC power plug into the power-plug socket, not the ear-phone socket. The projector comes with one three-foot HDMI to HDMI cable. A six-foot cable would provide better maneuverability. My PC has a VGA display connector, whose output is not compatible with HDMI. Despite the minor quibbles that I have expressed about the MP300, I believe that it is a beautiful product from which I will get considerable use. Please try again later. Please try again later. It is bright enough for most settings (in a dimly lit room) and the picture is clear even when projecting a movie onto a large wall. The ability to use it without a plug (using the internal battery) makes this perfect companion for any road warrior. I even connected this to my Android Tablet and was able to project a Netflix Movie onto a wall to keep the kids entertained. It would be perfect if it included a user replaceable bulb and other connection options. Please try again later. Please try again later. I always felt it was concise and practical, but the new 3M Mobile projector is great for lots of reasons. Instead of using a small suitcase around, all I need is this 3M Mobile Projector and my laptop, iPhone or iPad. I prefer my laptop as I have all my PowerPoint presentations on it. It is true plug-n-play. Hook your laptop (device) up with the HDMI cable and turn the power on. This means you connect it to your laptop's HDMI slot. Note that this set does NOT include the This is the only way to use your iPhone or iPad with the HDMI cord. This would have raised the price of this product by about twenty-five or thirty dollars and I think its a mistake to exclude it. The speaker is adequate, in that, if you are in a small room you can hear. Most of my work I present vocally anyway. You do have the opportunity to plug in a remote speaker if you want. The actual '60 lumens' is also adequate, but you need to have a fairly dark room for great clarity (and it is very clear). There are several adapter plugs for world-wide use and a tiny wafer remote. You don't have to use the remote, but is a,n 'okay' convenience (its very small and not the easiest to read). I cannot address the battery life at this point and will update, but I always have the power plugged in during presentation. I think anyone will be surprised at how much power and ease of use one gets with this Mobile projector. Please try again later. Please try again later. Bradley J. Brisco 5.0 out of 5 stars I have FINALLY found it in this 3M Mobile Projector. The size is simply amazing. It literally fits in the palm of your hand. It is very easy to use (as long as the projector is charged) it is a simple plug and play setup. I love that you can charge the projector to use for over two hours, or you can simply run it while plugged in for non-stop use. I love that I can easily place the projector in my computer bag. Most surprising to me is the price. For the compact size, quality of picture, and ease of use, the price point for this projector is excellent. I highly recommend this projector. Please try again later. Please try again later. Our payment security system encrypts your information during transmission. Joe 1.0 out of 5 stars Dont know who is responsible for refurbished items. But there is no way you could mistake the RCA for the ONN. Come on guys get it together. Not the best for daylight viewing, not the best for video games, but movies look good. Side note: had a rough time with the keystone correction, this is done by a knob in the back not digitally so the projector needed to be on a high surface to get the most straight line positioning as the keystone created blurred images when not perfectly positioned and tilted too far in either direction. So far it is very user friendly. We was able to connect to our phone and stream online. The picture quality was ok, I did not like that you can see little tiny grid squares on the screen however this could be bacause we are not using the appropriate screen. What we love is it is portable and we are able to entertain a larger group of people during gatherings. The sound quality is food for indoors but could be better for outdoor use with larger crowd. We connected our spectrum TV account to the Roku stick that came with the projector and she now uses the projector as a TV monitor. She also connected her gaming system to the projector. Every time she watches TV she wants a bag of popcorn, she says she feels like she’s at the movies abc use the projector picture covers the whole wall. This is really fantastic, every day is a movie night day. What makes it worthwhile is the free Roku stick. The only thing which is not a big deal is the inside lence is covered with finger prints, I think from replacing the lence but the service team did not clean, but it didn't effect the quality.I had gotten a different brand and it was horrible. Volume is good enough to be heard with 3 kids in the house. We even hook up the Nintendo switch and playI have also used it outside projecting a movie for my grandkids and it worked well and the picture quality was good. I wished it had a higher volume for outdoors. I will try to see if I can use an external speaker. It worked fine with the Roku stick that was included. I am very pleased. In order to navigate out of this carousel please use your heading shortcut key to navigate to the next or previous heading.
